Fuji X100 goes to Banner

I had a chance to spend about an hour out in Banner Marsh State Wildlife and Fish Area this evening.Banner is located about 25 miles outside of Peoria off of route 24 and features a 4,363-acre freshwater marsh.

I headed out with the intention to try some long exposures to smooth the water.  I did this by stacking two 3 stop ND filters on top of the internal ND filter of the Fuji X100. All images were shot RAW in B&W, and edited in Lightroom and/or NIK Silver Efex Pro 2.

Gary

I had a chance a few months a go to visit Gary, IN with a friend to shoot a decaying church and other urban buildings. I present here a few of my photos.

The Storm Approaches…

I was out for a walk last night and just a few minutes before a storm rolled in I took this shot.

_DSC8365

It isn’t going to win any awards, but it is a good shot of a wonderful looking thunderhead cloud. Minutes later it was lightning, thundering, and raining.   This is why I always keep a camera with me.

This image was edited using the vsco plugin for lightroom.

Lambin Wedding

This was my first wedding shoot and as luck would have it, it was a rainy nasty day. Although that didn’t keep the party from stopping. After having to switch venues due to the weather, and having to compromise almost every aspect of the wedding (They had planned a  bacon bar and a cigar bar… both were washed out) the bride and groom were ready to make the most of the day. I present here, a very small selection of photos that were taken throughout that day.
